If you or a loved one become seriously ill, you face many difficult questions about treatment, quality of life, living with illness, and dying. It is important to understand the distinction between curing and healing. Curing is the successful treatment and resolution of an issue; healing is to bring peace or fulfillment on an emotional, mental or spiritual level, regardless of the outcome of treatment on the body. I work in the realm of healing.
Healing is a process unique to each person -- there is no one right way; no predetermined outcome. Healing may occur on many different levels, including physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Problems may resolve on one level but not on others.

As a member of the Peaceful Presence Project End of Life Doula team I offer the following services:
I am present to each person's process as support, guide, witness and compassionate presence. I provide appropriate "tools" to navigate through a situation, illness, or medical treatment. I facilitate developing strategies to best manage the disease and treatment. I accompany a person to medical treatments. I listen and receive private thoughts, fears or tears with an open heart. I am available for telephone consultation. I create and facilitate clarity. For the family, I listen while providing relief and guidance during the illness and after, within the scope of my work with the Peaceful Presence Project Doula Team.
